Find answers to frequently asked questions
What permissions does a user have?
The user has full control over their private password vault, which no one else (not even an administrator) can view thanks to the Zero-Knowledge architecture. They can securely store login credentials, generate strong passwords, and use folders shared with them by the administrator or the team. However, the user cannot manage licenses or change the organization’s global security settings.
What permissions does an administrator have?
The administator manages the organization’s structure within perc.pass. Their key permissions include:
License management (adding/removing accounts).
Creating shared groups and granting access to them (e.g., “Marketing” for the creative team).
Monitoring password health within the organization (without knowing the passwords themselves – they only see their “strength”).
Enforcing security policies (e.g., enforcing two-factor authentication / 2FA).
Blocking access for former employees (so-called offboarding).
Who can invite a user to use perc.pass?
In the Team and Enterprise plans, invitations are sent by the Team Administrator via the management panel. There is also the possibility of integration with directory services (e.g., Azure AD / Google Workspace), which allows for automatically granting access to new employees. Individual versions allow for inviting firends as part of referal programs; however, in a business context, this process is always centralized to ensure complete security.
