We have been waiting for this for over two decades. The biggest cycling event in Poland is returning to our western roads, and we are thrilled (and full of sporting excitement) to announce that we are an official parnter of Stage 3 of the 83rd Tour de Pologne!
Locally, with passion, and for big goals
We are from here – this is where we create technology, develop business, and take care of cybersecurity. The return of the race to the Lubusz Voivodeship is a massive event for us, and cycling is simply in our blood!
For a long time, we have strongly supported initiatives that make our region more attractive from the perspective of cycling ompetition. Jacek Starościc (CEO of perc.pass), who supports the Youth Cycling National Team of the Lubusz Voivodeship as a patron on a daily basis, joined the organizers during the official route announcement.
“Promoting our region is part of our strategy to create a place where people want to stay, work, and live. This is how we keep talent in the region”
~ Jacek Starościc, CEO perc.pass
The entire cycling delegation will pass right through our backyard. As Czesław Lang, the first Polish professional cyclist and organizer of Tour de Pologne, said: “Let the whole worlds see that it is beautiful here and that it is worth visiting.” And there will be plenty to show – forests, lakes, and our famous vineyards will be broadcast of digital screens in 65 countries.
What does the peloton have in common with cybersecurity?
Why is the first Polish password manager getting involved in a cycling race? From a business perspective, road cycling is a great lesson in risk management.
The peloton rushes at speeds exceeding 60 km/h, wheel to wheel, millimeters apart. When one rider loses concentration, makes a mistake, and hits the asphalt, half the group ends up in a massive crash moments later. One mistake eliminates everyone.
In an organizational environment, this mechanism works exactly the same way.
All it takes is for one employee to use a weak password for a corporate account, send it to a colleague in plain text via a communicator, or fall for a fake mail (phishing). Once a hacker compromises that single, seemingly insignificant access point, they enter the internal network. Because of one mistake, data, reputatiom, and finances hit “the asphalt.” The peloton goes down.
perc.pass enters the route
In IT, we act like a technical support car that prevents such accidents. The Polish password manager generates, encrypts, and allows teams to securely share credentials. We make sure that an individual’s mistake does not bring down the entire organization, lifting the burden of remembering and manually entering passwords off the employees.
See you on August 5th!
Stage 3 will start in Gorzów Wielkopolski and will lead the cyclist through Strzelce Krajeńskie, Skwierzyna, Międzyrzecz, Świebodzin, Sulechów, all the way to the mountain prime in Przytok and the grand finale in Zielona Góra.
Head out to the route, feel the energy, and cheer with us. Let’s leave the emotions and adrenaline to the cyclist on the sescents, while when it comes to the security of corporate data, absolute peace of mind should prevail.
Take care of that peace of mind with perc.pass and join our secure peloton.
